Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Urban-Rural Development Holds a Skills Competition for Young Cadres

On the afternoon of January 2, 2025, Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Urban-Rural Development successfully held the "YOUNG! PLANNING Youth" Skills Competition for young cadres at the Planning Cultural and Creative Center. The event aimed to further enhance the overall capabilities of young cadres and accelerate their development. Over 50 cadres attended this event, including Wang Yang, Director of the Bureau, Zhu Ying, Deputy Director of the Bureau, senior researchers, department heads, and other young cadres.

Zhu Ying, Deputy Director of the Bureau, delivered the opening speech. She warmly welcomed the leaders, judges, experts, and young cadres participating in the event. Zhu reviewed the significant achievements made over the past year in deeply studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping's important speeches during his inspection of Hubei. At the same time, she highlighted the current challenges and shortcomings, emphasizing the need to further improve skills and capabilities to meet the demands of Wuhan's high-quality development.

Following the speech, 28 young cadres took to the stage one by one, showcasing their abilities through self-introductions, highlighting key aspects of their work, and demonstrating their unique skills. Drawing on their work experiences, they shared their understanding of the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and President Xi's important speech during his inspection of Hubei, and offered their insights into "transforming three advantages and reshaping the future of Wuhan." They also presented their ideas and plans for an "Ability Improvement Year." Additionally, they discussed themes such as reform, responsibility, and mission, aligning with the Bureau's objective of "Building a New Foundation Through Integrated Development, and Taking Responsibility to Create a New Chapter." Their performance reflected the young cadres' innovative thinking and transformation capabilities. In terms of presentation style, the young cadres demonstrated high levels of creativity: some used PowerPoint to aid their explanations, others showcased their work results through videos, and a few demonstrated their professional skills live. Their impressive performance were met with rounds of applause and praise from the audience.

This competition has further stimulated the enthusiasm and creativity of the young cadres and marked the beginning of the Bureau's "2025 Young Cadres' Capability Improvement and Development Program.
